I am so thankful for the good times and the opportunities that always open up for me. Intuition Power!
Here's how it happened...
I avoided/successfully procrastinated updating a speaker demo video for six year... even though I had paid for it. The company, Chesney Communications (tell them JacQuaeline sent you) in Orange County allowed me to use my credit and update years later... I filmed the new piece and Bob Chesney the owner called me to ask a quick question while he was editing it. He happen to mention he was going to be in my area the next week. I simply asked, why? Response: To film Art Linkletter! I said.... "I'm going with you!" That was not a request! I think he was a little surprised at my determined statement...And he said, "well, okay." A couple days later he left a message that Mark would be there too. I thought. BINGO! One of those full circle moments that Oprah talks about. See, way back about 1983 I first met Mark Victor Hansen. I fell in instant admiration; bought 20 of his books to get his attention. You can imagine me standing there waiting for a signature with 20 books. I knew I could use them in my classes and that way I got a discount and got Mark's attention! It worked. Through the years I've kept in touch. I had Mark on my radio talk shows when I was broadcasting in Los Angeles. Mark oftentimes talked about his dear friend Art Linkletter. So, I had a list of people I wanted to meet, "someday, someway!" I think Mark was the first person I remember who told me to make a list of people I wanted to meet. His book said to do it too. "Make a list of all the people you want to meet". And, be prepared to meet them. That means, have questions ready. That's a whole other story. Anyway, I thought it was just fabulous to meet Art Linkletter and get my photo with BOTH Mark and Art.
Art is 96 years young now and the two of them just finished a book on longevity. (Mark was co-author and co-created the Chicken Soup Series of books) Anyway, I was thrilled to be there while Bob filmed their webinar of Mark interviewing Art about his secret to a successful long life. It's delightful - just to see, hear and experience the joy and zest for life that Art still has - its infectious. So, dreams do come true - so go and make your list...
